NOTES: H-13 hydrophone for first section (morning); H-14 hydrophone (afternoon). Fin whale thumps. Originally recorded at 1 7/8ips; dub recorded at 3.75ips; digitized at 3.75ips. Zsys z-Q2 hi-shelf filtered -95dB>1kHz. Reference: Thompson, Paul O. and William A. Friedl, 1982, "A long-term study of low-frequency sounds from several species of whales off Oahu, Hawaii. Cetology 45: September 30, 1982. Equipment notes from this reference indicate "two hydrophones, 11.6km apart and bottom-mounted at 400 fathoms off the northernmost point of Oahu... Hydrophone response was essentially flat from 20 to 300Hz and was attenuated at about 15dB per octave above." SEAOCEAN.
