NOTES: Song after human imitation and later playback. Recorded in two parts, the first at 7:12, the second at 7:24. Two birds in the area (one in the distance giving "alternate songs" and calls), which was along the road near where I and been recording the woodcreeper above; the bird highlighted appeared to be in the mid-levels (2/3 up trees) of primary, terra firme forest; it was ca. 25 meters away, and was mostly calling, but singing only infrequently; the second bird never sang and may have been a female (this birdÕs mate?); the first part of this cut was after I had whistled to the bird, in response to which it flew about in approach; seen moderately well from below (an olive bird); scattered, high, thin clouds; calm; low 70s; sun was now in the treetops. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
