NOTES: Lek songs of two birds. Male was well seen 10-12 meters away singing from his favorite perch on an "S-shaped" twig about one meter up in relatively dense undergrowth at edge of small, tree-fall gap; this was the paler, more orangey bird of the two here; this cut is of the same bird as first of two birds recorded previously Ð #99-RDAT1-21; there was much activity around the lek this morning, with several visits by apparent females to both males that I had been observing (the second male was seen to perform a flight display to a female, in which it hovered in front of her with its tail was cocked up at an angle and flared, while it gave a burry call); largely cloudy, calm, 85¡ F. ML: Background subject changed from recordist's original identification of Vireo olivaceus chivi to Vireo olivaceus chivi/diversus to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015. Other Behaviors: Lek. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Second-growth.
