Détails de l'observation
From Island Lake go right skirting the lake. Then maybe 2/3 around toward top of lake, climb the hill to first knoll (200-300 yards). No trail at this point but good walking. At top of knoll go lift up rise until you can see entire canyon and Wetland down below. Multiple birds calling when I arrived at 5:45 (rally call and display call as well as another almost whimpering melodic call given by pair). Really hard to see on ground. 3 flybys Seem to be paired and displaying. Would climb up cliff a ways and then the pair would launch, gliding across the canyon calling to each other. Left then still calling and displaying at 9am. But get there at dawn for the best show. It took me 1-1/2 hrs to hike the 2+ mikes from the parking lot.
