Détails de l'observation
Obvious warbler based on its shape, length of beak, and size. Description based on photos below: Yellow throat and chest. Dark eye line. Broad yellow supercilium in front; white in back. Light-colored crescent under the eye (either yellow or off-white; a bit hard to tell from the photos due to the illumination). Auricular area and crown grey. White belly and undertail coverts. Dark grey streaks on the sides. Grey back, at least to the extent that we saw it (seen mostly from underneath and from the sides). Some of the pictures provide an oblique view of white wing bars. Also heard calling and singing briefly. Audio recording of some calls. The bird stayed in the upper half of ponderosa pines and was often difficult to see well.
