Détails de l'observation
No crest, but redder cap, eye ring and longer bill makes me think Cassins. Fascinating display - the male spread out his wings in a downward pointed angle, lifted his head back I guess to expose the color on his throat, fluffed his crest (not visible in photo) and danced left to right and back again in front of an apparently indifferent female. After six or seven times, he fluttered up in the air about 8 to 12 inches above the female and hovered there before she flew off. Reminded me of a Western Parotia. Book says this is the behavior of a Purple, but perhaps both do it?
