Commentaires
This Carolina wren was perched on a broken branch and was singing in various directions, first a few songs to the east, then turned 30-60 degrees and sang again a few times, then turned again -- it seemed very deliberate, to make sure his song was broadcast as far and wide as possible. I believe it was a male, but I am not sure.
Détails de l'observation
There was a cowbird lurking nearby, probably interested in parasitizing the nest. The bush was very dense, and I was unable to see the nest, but there were at least two birds in the bush, and towards the end of the recording there are sounds of fluttering within the bush.
