First sighted earlier today by Elaine N. WEBL: a vibrant male with chestnut washed breast and flanks; white underparts; deep blue head/back/wings/tail; black eye, bill and legs. Observed flying back-and-forth between log piles and nearby farm equipment. Relaxed bird, relatively un-phased by onlookers…..which provided excellent views. Great bird to view on a beautiful Fall day….with nice contrast between bird’s bold, blue plumage and warm, Fall time hues of foliage.
