Given the follow-up questions from eBird reviewer, Will Johnson, I have attached some songs recorded on Merlin and heard by me independently. I have included two *.wav recordings: the first (BLBW1) has many instances of NOPA followed by BLBW immediately; these could well be misidentifications by Merlin; however, there are other instances in this first recording of the BLBW singing by itself or preceding the NAPA (check 1:28-29, 1:39-1:40, 1:48-1:51 and 2:11-2:14). I have included a second recording ("BLBW2") where the BLBW sings without the NOPA (~49 secs and ~56 secs) with a song that I recognize (and so it seems does Merlin) as a Blackburnian Warbler song (heard many times in my home province of Nova Scotia). I would also note that several instances of sightings of BLBW on eBird in east Florida coastal areas this spring - see attachment to covering email. Also, there are several additional recordings around the same time that I did not include. Furthermore, I had already included recordings of BLBW from 23 April taken at the same location in my eBird checklist for that day and location (CHECKLIST S169980204). PS Further to an email from Will Johnson on 27 April, I have changed the # of individual seen to one which I should have corrected earlier. As such, I am fully confident that this individual was a BLBW.
