Behaketaren xehetasunak

Original notes (moved from WEFL/formerly PSFL/COFL to intergrade): The recordings do not seem to get me any further than Western Flycatcher. The overall pitch of the song seems to be low enough in range for what is considered Cordilleran when comparing sonograms, but the call note is obviously what one would consider a Pac Slope. Doesn't seem like it will be possible to nail it down to a specific species here. Edit: After the lump of the species I kept wanting to revisit these recordings, so I am taking a look now. After discussing on the WhatsApp chat I kept the observation a "slash" because it was intermediate and others had agreed at the time. I lurked around Macaulay Library and am finding that the descriptions of intergrades in northern Idaho usually lean on peak pitch not matching up between either ssp. In both instances of my recordings, the peak pitch of both the song and the call are 1-2 kHz lower than that of the PSFL ssp and closer to COFL ssp. Having said that, the pattern of both the song and call matches PSFL best. Since vocalizations for this species are innate and not learned, this is my reasoning for considering intergrade and if not "pure" intergrade, there seems to be some introgression here. It would be interesting to hear in the coming years of more intergrade reports from Oregon. Would love to hear feedback!
