Behaketaren xehetasunak
While hiking, heard a bird start calling over the canopy. The call happened four times, and I was able to barely capture the last note (sonogram isn't gonna look pretty). The sound was traveling - it started to the east of my position and then was made three times more as it traveled overhead to the northwest. Call was reminiscent of an Eastern Wood-Pewee/Broad-winged Hawk, with a sharp, high-pitched note that fell quickly into a slightly lower pitch and longer call note that slowly rose, but only just, in volume and pitch. Written as onomatopoeia: "TSEE- eeeeEEEEEEEEEE" Closest match I can find, assuming this bird is not a resident of the island is a Gray-headed Bustard. The last three days a typhoon has swept by the island and has already dumped weird vagrants here.
