Original audio file was unfiltered and had a lot of background noise, i.e., passersby talking, so I've edited that out. Hopefully this proves satisfactory.
Behaketaren xehetasunak
Continuing bird found by John and company yesterday. Bird very much presented in similar manner as he described, flying in briefly to myrtle adjacent to large cedars at SW edge of reservoir 5. Interestingly, my daughter and I had stopped for her mid morning snack and a rest, after having done the big stairs, and were hanging out at the base of said myrtle. The bird flew right in alighting on a main vertical branch and began feeding, calling a few times. Although I was very close and had great looks, the bird, a female, was mostly facing broadside or away, so I didn't really see much of the upper breast. I wondered if it could be an immature bird, but based on John's description it sounded more likely an adult. It stayed there mostly stationary for just under 5 minutes and then abruptly took off flying west over service road, tucking into bushes/trees that approximate the slope. It didn't appear to fly very far but remained silent and I was unable to relocate it. I've attached photos and will include audio of it calling.
