Bush-squirrels regularly find beeswax feeders and work them over, feeding at times on pure wax for up to 5 minutes. They do this so regularly that we periodically have to remove them. Only one individual Common Bulbul (Pycnonotus barbatus) so made a nuisance of itself eating quantities of wax that it had to be killed, but others occasionally ate wax (Horne and Short, Wils. Bull., in press).
