Freckled Ducks are dabblers, feeding on algae, aquatic plants, seeds and small invertebrates. This non-breeding bird was foraging in the shallows of Herdsman Lake, near Perth Western Australia. The birds swimming in the background are a Eurasian Coot and two Grey Teal. Elevation: 7 m. Date added to IBC: July 19, 2018.
