I photographed and recorded a single male perched on a isolated tree. I separated from V.flavoviridis because its has less yellow in the throat and chin and flanks and voive (double notes more frequent than single notes, also lower number of notes). I also distinguished from V. altiloquus because the malar stripe is less demarcated and the voice has lower pitch and notes are more spaced. .
