Detalles de la observación
Originally seen in flight. I had seen a DCCO fly by a few minutes earlier, this bird was instantly recognizable as a much smaller cormorant with a relatively longer tail, similar in length to the neck, giving it a symmetrical/balanced look. The flight was also seemed a lot less labored and heavy than the flight of the DCCO. It landed near the north end of the lake, and by driving up the east side I was able to relocate it diving actively (and staying down a long time). A small cormorant with a noticeably light and small bill, no unfeathered supraloral and v-shaped gular pouch. Poor photos.
