Very small gull. Dark cap, dark carpal bar, black spot behind eye.
Detalles de la observación
These photos are pictures of slides so the quality is not great. The Gull was found by Rich Levad. I took the photo and Brenda identified the bird. This gull was with an adult Sabine's Gull, we first thought this second bird was an immature Sabine's Gull. After closer inspection we could see that it was a Little Gull! It had a dark cap unlike an immature Sabine's. It had a bold dark carpal -bar and spot behind the eye. In flight the Little Gull did not have the pied wing pattern of a Sabine's. It was much smaller then the Sabine's Gull. This Little Gull was reported to the CBRC and accepted as a record.
