The Ridgway's rail feeding.
Detalles de la observación
Spotted near Adobe Creek Tail. While biking we spotted it, and it was good as the bird was feeding in the open. I have never seen a rail before (I have seen coots and even a gallinule before in Shoreline Park), so it was a very cool find. Additionally, since rails are very secretive and hide in marshes, it was amazing that the bird was right in the open. Seemed larger than VIRA, similar to CLRA except the latter is not found in the San Francisco Bay, so I believe that it was a RIRA. It was feeding in the open for a while before it disappeared into the grassy marshes nearby.
