Detalles de la observación
Continuing bird. Discovered by Justin Bosler. Tern viewed off to the northeast of the main parking area/boat launch. The bird was actively working the waters along the west side of the rock berm, occasionally stooping to the water's surface. Very agile and swift tern-at one point even flipped upside down to change direction! Medium sized tern with long pointed wings, longish forked tail, straight pointed dark bill, overall very high contrast individual with dark blackish above, white below, and distinct black cap, hint of pale collar, dark eyeline, and pale forehead seen. All dark primaries clashing with clean white coverts to the underside of this bird clearly noted. Bolder face pattern and larger bill than Bridled. Observed with 8x42s for extended period. Photographed.
