**Fairfield Mega; my first ever record in town, which I never expected in the fall before a possible Cerulean passed through my view at Hoydens in August 2014 (and certainly never expected to happen at Pine Creek in any season!). Initially heard from The Bridge around 5:55. The song took me completely off guard. The first it sang I only half heard it, because my focus was on some of the other birds around. My initial impression from that was a warbler, but it very quickly sang again, which left me stunned. I approached the oak it was singing it, and obtained a lengthy recording of the bird, while straining my eyes to catch at glimpse. After a few minutes, it stopped singing, but I soon heard it again slightly down The Lefthand trail, and I finally caught the briefest of visuals while standing near where that trail intersections with the trail up the landfill. My look showed an overall two-tone super bluish bird. It then (keeping to the left side of the trail) moved to a tree just after the trail bends and before it goes under the trees, which is where I last heard it around 6:10. Despite my best efforts, I was unable to get any further looks at the bird nor any photos. Both song and calls were spot on for CERW.
