Great find by Jeremy Ross on 12/22. Thanks to all those who shared their resightings via Indiana RBA Discord. Today there were around 10 other vehicles in the area while we were there, all of us searching for this bird. I think everyone got to see it eventually. It was moving around a lot. Our first sighting came after two hours of searching in hazy, overcast conditions. We finally found it perched in a large tree on the south side of 50N, overhanging a small bridge, east of 650E (38.3634609, -87.4411136). It stayed perched there even as people drove their vehicles underneath it. Next it flew north and briefly perched along the ditch north of 50N (around 38.3656991, -87.4403130), then it flew east out of sight. We refound it in flight being chased by a harrier north of 50N and west of 750E. It perched on a utility pole at 50N x 725E, then flew northwest back toward the ditch area. Katey Powell pointed it out to us where she found it sitting on the ground on top of a ridge north of 50N, before it flew northeast. We refound it in a tree east of 750E, north of the large pit north of 50N (38.3663702, -87.4239692). A red-tailed hawk chased it away. About an hour later it returned to perch on a utility pole on 50N in between 650E and 750E (38.3633642, -87.4337399) before returning to the same tree where we originally spotted it, over the small bridge on the south side of 50N. It acted like it was going to roost there awhile (38.3632590, -87.4412611) I included a map showing all the places where we saw it moving around today, in case that helps someone
