Thanks to khloey_stringer on iNat for the heads up. Got lucky and glimpsed it foraging in the muck at the drainage inflow for the pond, around 30.5918628, -96.3360912... then fed the skeeters for another 45 mins until it got confident enough to poke its head out again.
