*Rare and **late. Two basic-plumaged birds associating with a flock of 7 BBPLs in an ag field. Conspicuously smaller and longer-winged Pluvialis plovers than the adjacent BBPLs; strong facial contrast between white supercilium and black cap and auriculars, thin and tapered bills, pale axillaries in underwing during flight, etc. Much colder-toned and contrasty than PGPL. Diagnostic call notes heard as well. ID pics:
