I found a banded bird and sent to code to be investigated. I received this message from Juan G. Navedo of the Bird Ecology Lab in Chile. "fR(NXN)/a was an adult male Hudsonian godwit when banded along with 44 conspecifics by November 20, 2022 at a bay close to Castro (central sector), Chiloé island, Chile more than 9,000 km afar from the resighting area. It was resighted just once before you found it, January 2023 by our team members, in the same bay."
