Foreground noises, recorded about 21:05. Listen for TWO owls (other voice is quieter and higher). MALE AND FEMALE PAIR
Detalles de la observación
Heard the soft, distinctive hoot pattern at 20:59 (8:59 PM) at the end of a three-hour diurnal/sunset walk. The owls were near the north end of bridge 205, and I was heading back to the car. The two owls were calling back and forth, but one was calling much more than the other. I recorded the calls. The owls flew over my head, about fifty feet up, and landed close by, and I saw both of them in flight, but I could not get a good look at them while perched (quite dark, almost no Moon). One had a deeper voice than the other one. No other birds were detected at 9 pm. Nice way to end a three-hour birdwalk!
