Detalles de la observación
Our second eBird report of chicks. Today two chicks were observed. --- Anecdotal evidence has it that there was a chick (or two?) in the nest as early as April 21, 2024. --- On our visit on April 24, 2024 we did not observe any chicks. Click on the image below for a Flickr video, which includes an adult sitting above the nest and being harassed by as many as three Western Kingbirds. Later the adult moved to the edge of the nest (after a feeding that we missed) and both chicks were visible over the edge of the nest. Eventually the adult flew to a branch below the nest: 2023 Timeline: - On April 21, 2023 we first observed an occupied nest. - ebird.org/checklist/S134536919 - On May 19, 2023 we first observed a chick in the nest. - ebird.org/checklist/S138462753 - On July 29, 2023 the young fledged. - ebird.org/checklist/S145796019
