Detalles de la observación
6:50 p.m., Ibises, willets, and stilts, (same exact counts of all 3 as Sheridan Coffey & Martin Reid earlier this afternoon) all together with one spotted sandpiper on the first sandy spit visible behind the closest stand of dead trees in the water. At times, all four visible in same scoped view. By the time we left about an hour later, stilts in same place, willets had moved to the next spit back, and ibises were no longer in view. Willets: chunky shorebirds appearing at distance as overall pale gray, with white visible around the eyes and on forehead, long dark bills longer than length of head, and bills very straight or slightly upturned. Gray legs. Much bigger than the spotted sandpiper, but not nearly as big as the ibises. Not very active. Generally loafing. 2 distant photos.
