Detalles de la observación
*Rare. Basic-plumaged golden plover on the sod farms visible from SR-60 here (27.63914N, 80.55813W). Small, slender-proportioned pluvialis with bold supercilium and auriculars and pale underwings in flight. Although this bird's bill and tibia lengths seemed on the long end for AMGP, the long primary extension, lack of trailing feet behind the tail in flight, strong facial markings creating a decidedly "capped" appearance, and the overall muted color of the bird all support AMGP over PAGP. The plover also gave three AMGP-like "tu-wee-loo" calls in flight. Atrocious doc pics taken looking directly into the sun at a distance. May return to try and get better views.
