Detalles de la observación
I had originally thought all the sparrows out here were Henslow’s. They were shy at first but as it neared sundown they grew more bold, and I got a good look at them. I kept thinking… man I just did not remember henslow’s as being this beautiful! Extremely vibrant golden hue to face and sides. Upon getting back and looking, I am convinced that at least two were lecontes due to 1) strength of yellow 2) lack of brown mustache 3) gray ear covert 4) fading streaks on middle of breast. Really striking. There were another 3-5 but the majority were likely henslow’s. I am recording the two that I got good looks at. Might try to go back out in the morning.
