The bird was nice enough to fan out its tail for a few seconds, showing off the broad rusty inner webs of the rectrices, as well as the distinctive dark brown tip to each rectrix, the latter of which (among other features) separates ATFL from other similar appearing members of the Myiarchus genus (such as Great Crested and Nutting's).
Detalles de la observación
The bird was first heard singing/calling in a deciduous tree as we pulled up to stop near the oak grove at the south end of the cemetery. First of season.
