Detalles de la observación
Adult male Pine Grosbeak found by Tim Garland a little after 9, relocated while I was searching elsewhere in the park by Kathy Slettebak around 10:30 as it foraged silently here: (47.6585151, -122.4097199). A bit after I got on site it began calling and landed in a very close small Douglas Fir tree to feed on some cone buds! Large reddish-pink and gray finch with distinct loud vocalizations. Photos and audio recorded before it flew off to the north just a few minutes later, just as Tim had previously observed (he saw it repeat a large loop 3 times). My first Pine Grosbeak for Discovery Park and my first for Seattle, too - thanks Tim and Kathy!
