The owls were barking some, but we’re mainly covered up by the Snow geese and ringneck pheasants. One bark can be heard between 3 and four seconds on this audio.
Detalles de la observación
I think there were five, but for sure after they approached closer, I saw 3 at one time. Roundish, thick, cylindrical body. Long wings rounded at ends. Appeared after sunset, and I could see them in the orange horizon; flew with rather a light, airy flight. Would fly rather high-maybe 30-60 feet above marsh, then do a steep bank with wings almost seemingly perpendicular to ground; then drop down into marsh or hunt low above marsh before climbing again. Also heard barks, but could not get good recording due to Ringneck pheasant calls, a large number of greater white fronted geese and snow geese calls.
