Detalles de la observación
Trumpeter Swans usually hang out in very small numbers as opposed to Tundra Swans which hang out usually in larger groups. So when I drove up from a distance and only saw this one bird I figured there was a good probability that it would be a Trumpeter. As I got closer I noticed that it was indeed a Trumpeter. This swan is slightly bigger than a Tundra with more black facial skin around the eye and no yellow spot apparent. The Trumpeter has a pointed border at the top of the bill between the eyes as opposed to the Tundra Swan which is more rounded between the eyes.
