*Continuing megararity, flitting about in the hedges behind 26A, the original finders of this incredible little bird. We had some pretty good looks at the bird, it typically would perch for a while between 4 and 6 ft off the ground, usually well hidden. It would then drop down briefly to the ground, presumably to forage (though I didn't see it catch anything), and immediately fly back to a hidden or partially obscured perch. It frequently flicks its wings and tail, and generally has a flighty demeanor. There was a Hermit Thrush in the same thickets, but it was usually easy to tell which bird was moving around, as the RFBL is about 2/3 the size of the HETH, and seemed to be a tick faster as it flitted about. The bird reminded me of an Eastern Bluebird in plumage, but quite unlike any local bird in the behavior - skulking not so much deep in thickets or tangles, but instead disappearing into the treeline, often from below. Many thanks to the homeowners for letting us birders into the yard!
