As first seen, distant and difficult to count with confidence.
Detalles de la observación
Continuing the observations made by many others. Will add some distant poor photos. The Flamingos were observed from the walkover dunes across from the Fishing and Kayak Boat Launch parking lot just south of the New Inlet / Etheridge Bridge. The Flamingos got up and did a small fly around, going north and then back south and finally north again in a circle before landing very near their takeoff spot. The fly around did help with the count. The first picture shows them as distant "specks" before the fly around and then in the air before landing again. The other checklist species were observed on the Atlantic side of the dunes.
