Detalles de la observación
Adult bird. With White-faced Ibises, but often set apart. It looked obviously larger, so it was easy to pick out when it came into view (not sure why, they should be similar). Face had pale blue lines that did not go around the eye like WFIB. Between those lines it was dark, not pink, and the eye was dark, not red. I didn’t see any obvious signs of hybridization. legs were dark without bright red areas at the joints. Difficult to see because 1) hard to get close, 2) poor lighting much of the time, 3) heads usually down in the water, and 4) there were a Forest of stems of dead plants that hid the birds and made photography really difficult. Pics were taken. Seen first from 32.57650°N 104.39550°W. It moved around the lake in deep brush clockwise. Last seen flying over the channel that marks the farthest point you can travel from this side.
