7 a.m. and I was walking slowly along the road and obviously missed seeing this bird on the 'right' side. It all but 'buzzed' me as it passed from behind over my right shoulder and into the thick 'arbusto' at eye level. It seemed to say, 'silly woman, didn't you see me?' All I really saw was a flash of cinnamon and wondered first 'Hornero?' and then "Streak-headed Woodcreeper' as I retrieved my camera and shot two bad photos before it flew deeper into the scrub. About a minute later two birds began their distinct chatter back and forth... for sure Henna Hooded Foliage Gleaners, and then they crossed back over and were interacting with a third one. What a lovely start to the day!
