Detalles de la observación
Ten seen together feeding on "chum" that we threw out. They allowed approach of 20 m and stayed feeding at this spot for 15-20 minutes. At first there were only two, then three, and then the group quickly grew to 10, with at three Black Storm-Petrels and two Chapman's Storm-Petrels also present for comparison. Very small size; dark rump; pointy wings; busy, jerky almost erratic flight style. I (JvD) did not have a camera on this trip, so I spent quite some time observing the birds and noting differences between the species in flight style, overall shape, color etc. Photos by Alf Auerbach: src="https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5747/20874139745_e5e744d905_z.jpg" alt="Least Storm-Petrels" />
