Detalles de la observación
Had as SBDO at first for likelihood but review of photos shows the plumage fits fresh breeding LBDO better, including the clear white tips on back feathers, and barring on sides. Bill looks quite long on some individuals. In the (rainy!) field they didn't vocalize and I never saw the underwing. Delay in ID also caused by both some appearing not as hunched and some of the back seemingly being too buffy (but I now see it's in line for fresh breeding plumage LBDO). Photos of LBDO last year look a lot like these birds. This would continue the curious trend of Knox Co.'s LBDOs all being in spring (to my knowledge we don't have any fall records).
