Detalles de la observación
Male scoter took off from right next to the boat and noticed white wing patches, seemingly one of only a handful of WWSC seen throughout the day, but Kaiden noticed something was off with the bill and in binoculars bird was very obviously not a pure WWSC. Ran in and grabbed camera and photos revealed what can only be a SUSC x WWSC hybrid. White wing patches, stout orange bill with gradual slope of a SUSC but lacking any of the white or black of a typical adult SUSC. White patch on face a combination of both species make pattern, with a white dot above the eye extending down into a muted comma, and then interestingly a white line down beneath the eye not typically present in either species.
