Detalles de la observación
Notable for being uncommon around here - I feel lucky if I see one or two a year (late winter) in my yard. I initially saw it perched on the woodpile for about a second before it flashed away, and I thought "Song Sparrow", but that didn't seem to quite match the impression it left... Hermit Thrush? No... Thankfully it returned, and I was able to see it and get photos when it hopped right up to my door as I stood quietly excited inside with my camera, wishing the glass were cleaner. I also photographed it out in the garden, unfortunately through some fencing, but I'm posting it to have a record of its particular coloration, since 2 showed up the following day (the 15th). I compared plumage patterns and, sure enough, it was one of the two.
