Detalles de la observación
The first recording is soft calls made while grazing. These start very low at roughly 200k. Lots of overtones going into the upper registers. The subtle pitter patter sounds in this recording are the geese walking in grass and picking at the grass with their beaks. The second recording is a flyby. Honks similar to Canada and Cackling geese. Fundamental pitch is at 700hz. Many overtones going all the way up to 21k. They fade in and out in this recording, peaking in volume around 5sec. I noted some bands including torquoise JAZ, YEJ, ZCP, UIA, ITA, ZYP, blue XPP, green CA, and yellow 185. Yellow 185 is a male banded on 12/6/2007 by Elizabeth Flint. It's hatch year is 2006 or earlier, making it at least 16 years old. Blue XPP is a male banded on 2/5/2021 by Lainie Berry. It was too young to fly when banded, so it's under 2 years old. Torquoise YEJ is a female banded on 2/23/2021 by Lainie Berry. It was too young to fly when banded, so it's under 2 years old. Torquoise ZCP is a male banded on 3/24/2021 by Lainie Berry. It was too young to fly when banded, so it's under 2 years old. Torquoise ZYP is a male banded on 2/7/2022 by Lainie Berry. It was too young to fly when banded, but it's very young.
