Detalles de la observación
I was putting my head down and trying to get home in time for dinner... and... suddenly, almost from under my feet, a female Buttonquail scampered out, weaving this way and that through the long grass!!! I set off in hot pursuit; as is always the case without playback to help, the Buttonquail was one step ahead of me, always on the other side of each clearing as I broke through the trees, scampering away with its head held out long and low and its bright yellow chicken legs scurrying as it disappeared... but I still managed one shot where the pattern of the back and the foxy-red blaze on the shoulders are both clearly visible through the cutting grass, so that was something to delight in, as though a Buttonquail alone isn't delightful enough!!!
