Detalles de la observación
I originally had this bird pegged for a Northern Waterthrush because of the habitat. It was found at the lake's edge foraging and the habitat is still shallow water - conducive for Northerns. I have had them at this location (verified by song in the spring/early summer). The photos were subsequently reviewed and the consensus was that the bird had the appearance of a Louisiana. "My first impression is Louisiana - wider, brighter eyebrow, overall whiter but a bit of buffy flanks, and the throat looks unstreaked." "Looks like Louisiana to me with that big white supercillium." "It seems to me that the photos would be much more at home with Louisiana Waterthrush photos, as well as Sibley's notion of whiter body with fewer streaks."
