Detalles de la observación
Both X3 and female were present. Both spent most of the time flying over the golf course and base field. When I arrived, X3 was in the air. Initially I did not see the female, but she soon lifted off from the trees at the eastern most point of the golf course. They flew around a bit, venturing quite far over the base field but ultimately returning back. When returning, X3 landed in a Euc on the border between the base field and the golf course. There were some Caki there that must have a nest in that Euc, because they went nuts when X3 landed there. The female called a lot. Audio of her included. X3 seems to be the strong silent type... I didn't specifically note him calling, though he may have called once or twice. But he's not nearly as vocal as the female. The female looks quite different from when I last saw her. She has been very incognito. While I heard her several times in May, I have not seen her since April 24. Her feathers are much more worn than they were then. And she just looks leaner, sleaker, not as bulky. Hopefully, she has been out of sight incubating eggs. But we shall see.
