Mega!! Bird was relocated here after flying north from CV Co., many details borrowed from my CV checklist with additional info from the closer views- Bird had gray lores, a long bill (seemed longer than SNEG in direct comparison), bird has apparently lost its head plumes and so had a smooth back of the head (lacked the “puff” of plumes as on a SNEG) and this, in direct comparison with SNEGs, gave the bird a distinctive smooth look to the back of the head and neck, there was no curl above the tail (owing to the straight back plumes, not curled like a SNEG) and being closer to the bird, I was able to get a much better study/look at this. I was able to watch the bird at length as it walked around and could see that the yellow on the feet (not bright yellow as on SNEG) did not extend up the back of the legs, the legs also looked thicker than SNEGs in direct comparison.
