Detalles de la observación
My sister-in-law spotted the bird sitting in a Douglas Fir. I got my binoculars on it and with good light was able to view the bird. When it flew I saw distinct light and dark banding on the tail and the crescents at the wing tips. This was a juvenile bird and the head was a reddish brown as were the shoulders. It was chased away by crowns. The short and broad wings were nothing like those of a Broad-winged Hawk as far as pattern and coloration.. The more distinctly banded tail did not fit a Cooper's Hawk. The bird showed up again in the afternoon and I have attached some poor quality pictures. It was again being harassed by crows.
