Heard the nestlings again inside the trunk of the hollow tree. I recorded their call it sounded like they may only be one nestling cooling at this time. I did not see or hear any adult owls at that location which is owl position 1.3. I have been misidentifying the nestling owls in the palm tree trunk as screech owls when they were actually Barn Owls.-- EDIT: Upon entering the area a week later I immediately heard very loud cries which I recognized as those of an immature Barn Owl.. Until now the noises which originated inside the hollow trunk of the standing dead Royal Palm were presumed to be those of EASO because I sometimes was hearing an adult calling not far from the tree. They were also very low in volume, presumably because the owlets were quite small. A few other times I misidentified the calls as being those of an EASO when I did not see or hear an adult EASO. In these cases I will go back and delete the erroneous entries and replace them with the Barn Owl species. .t
