Detalles de la observación
Continuing bird originally reported as a WEGU. Molty 4th cycle Lesser Black-backed Gull. Dark mantled gull with long bill and pale eye. Bigger than surrounding Ring-billed Gulls but not towering over them. Underwing too light for western. Wispy streaking around head and thick blotchy streaking around neck also eliminate WEGU. The upperwing trailing edge is wrong for Slaty-backed Gull. Slate-backed would show "tertial skirt" with extensive white on trailing edge. Primaries don't show the the Slaty-backed "string of pearls" and are mostly dark. Legs are pale pinkish as opposed to bubble gum pink on Slaty-backed.
