flying from same tree 4 times in 2 minutes
Detalles de la observación
Lori Blanc disco vered and reported this possibly new bird for Okaloosa County this morning (no previous eBird records in the County). Duncan & Duncan lists Oct 24 as latest record in the 4 west-most counties. The record is so late that the bird was (according to current eBird records) the only one remaining in the United States (as of today). The bird was not calling. Usually perched 50-70 ft high. Flying out for insects fairly frequently. Visible from disc golf station 16. Usually seen atop tall dead pine snags at the edges of the lawn area, and often flying back to the same perch. After turning onto the dirt road from the highway (big Anderson sign along hwy), proceed to first left turn (just north of the bridge). Bird was about 1/10 mile west of the turn. 30.56046, -86.51176
